Ferland has recorded four points, including three goals, over his last six games.
The fourth-line depth forward is best known for his physical contributions (207 hits last year, 107 so far this season), so the recent surge of points has been a nice bonus for those in the deepest formats that roster him. Also, Ferland's 15 points are three shy of his career high from 2015-16 (in 18 additional games), which is a positive sign for his development and career progression at the NHL level.
