Ferland (illness) could join the team in Nashville on Thursday, which essentially rules him out for Tuesday night's away game against the Capitals, Roger Millions of Sportsnet reports.
It should be considered a big win if Ferland only misses two games to the mumps, as the virus generally takes longer to get over as we have seen multiple times already this season. Curtis Lazar, who recorded an assist in his Flames debut Sunday, will likely continue to see ice time with Ferland sidelined.
