Brodie assisted on teammate Dennis Wideman's power-play goal in Wednesday's 7-4 loss at Edmonton. Brodie also added three shots in 26:20 of ice time.
Last season, Brodie recorded a career-high 45 points (six goals, 39 assists), including nine points on the power play in 70 games. The 26-year-old has averaged at least two minutes per game on the power play the last two seasons, and 2:18 in the opener Wednesday.
