Flyers' Steve Mason: Accounts for 45 saves in shootout win

Mason turned away 45 of 47 shots during Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win against the Bruins.

Mason survived an onslaught of shots Tuesday, seeing 10-plus in each period and six in overtime. The netminder has not been able to string together even two straight wins this season, and his stats -- 6-8-3 with a 2.98 GAA and .898 save percentage -- reflect that. While he's still the No. 1 option to defend the crease, inconsistent play has haunted the 28-year-old through 18 appearances.
