Hurricanes' Cam Ward: Loses to Oilers on Tuesday

Ward allowed three goals on 28 shots as the Hurricanes fell 3-2 to Edmonton on Tuesday.

The veteran netminder hasn't had the greatest start to the season, giving up eight goals on just 54 shots in a pair of losses. It's early, for sure, but Ward is past his prime and doesn't have the greatest team in front of him, so his numbers could take a sizeable hit this season. Moreover, Eddie Lack is a capable backup who will challenge Ward for crease time, so owners should be cautious with the 32-year-old in 2016-17.
