Ward is slated to take on the Bruins in Thursday's road contest, NHL.com reports.

Ward looked like a well-oiled machine, sweeping the opposition on a recent three-game road trip, though he gave way to Michael Leighton in a home start Tuesday, and then faltered in an away game versus the high-powered Blueshirts two days ago, halting only 18 of 21 shots. It's tough to rely on Ward for wins with his team currently ranked 21st with an average of 2.41 goals per game, but he's rewarded the Hurricanes and fantasy owners alike with a 2.29 GAA through 17 starts. Remember, there had been no shortage of folks scratching their heads after Carolina retained him as a restricted free agent this past summer, but Ward's paying dividends before he'll have a chance to walk at the conclusion of the 2017-18 campaign.
