Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Recalled Friday

Mayfield was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Friday.

Mayfield's recall comes after Eric Boulton was placed on injured reserve, and he will offer the Islanders another option on the right side of defense in the absence of Johnny Boychuk. Mayfield will likely play on the Islanders' third defensive pair, and isn't a viable fantasy option.
