Trouba made his highly anticipated season debut Friday night, recording heavy minutes (23:14) in the 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche.

Trouba finally hit game ice after being the subject of a lengthy contract holdout. As noted by the Winnipeg Sun, the 22-year-old was unleashed on the power play (2:30) and penalty kill (3:27), and only trailed Dustin Byfuglien for total ice time on the Jets. Trouba didn't have any points in this one and he skated to a minus-1 rating, but his owners will certainly welcome big minutes; it's especially exciting when the numbers are inflated by bonus hockey.
