According to coach Paul Maurice, Perreault (undisclosed) may be eligible to return Saturday or Sunday, Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

This news effectively rules Perreault out for the Jets' next two contests, but it should still be considered good news for fantasy owners, as his extended absence -- 13 games so far -- appears to be coming to a close. Through the first 11 games of the year, the center managed just three points despite averaging over 16 minutes of ice time per night. Once healthy enough to return, the 28-year-old will likely assume a third- or fourth-line role, given Winnipeg's depth down the middle.
