Halischuk will be waived by the Jets, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
The Jets host the Stars on Tuesday and need room on the roster with Adam Lowry (upper body) and Mathieu Perrault (lower body) returning to action. Halischuk is the odd man out of that equation as he's failed to nail down more than a part-time role since joining the league in 2008-09.
