Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Gives up five goals in ugly loss
Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 38 shots during Tuesday's 5-1 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Vasilevskiy came into Tuesday's matchup riding a four-game winning streak that won him a golden opportunity to establish himself as the better man in the Lightning net, but he fell flat on his face against one of the highest-scoring teams in the league. The 22-year-old is still 6-2-1 this year, which is much more appealing than Ben Bishop's 7-8-0 record. However, performances like this won't help the 2012 first-rounder's case to unseat Tampa's stud starter. Even as the backup, though, the Russian remains a solid option when defending the blue paint.
