Brown, who has three goals in the first two games of the AHL playoffs, is impressing Toronto's staff, reports the Toronto Star.

Toronto Marlies coach Sheldon Keefe praised Brown after Game 2 of the team's opening round series against Bridgeport: "If the first couple of games of the playoffs are any indication, he's showing he has another level in his game." Brown has long had to fight and claw his way to respect because of his size and suggestions he profited from playing alongside star talent. However, he has proven detractors wrong at every turn. Brown's playoff performance this season could deliver him a permanent role with the big club by 2017.
