Maple Leafs' Joffrey Lupul: Begins light training

Lupul (sports hernia) is currently able to participate in light training activities and is expected to return in time for 2016-17 training camp, Dhiren Mahiban of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Lupul made just 46 appearances this season before suffering a sports hernia in early February. He still has two years remaining on his current contract with Toronto and figures to take on a similar role with the team during the 2016-17 campaign while playing on the wing.
