Holland, who has seen only sporadic game action this season, stayed home rather than travel with the Leafs on their current road trip, reports the Toronto Sun. The Leafs will attempt to trade him.

Holland played Saturday against the Caps, but that may have been his last. The dispute over playing time came to a head Monday during a meeting with general manager, Lou Lamoriello, and Holland decided wasn't going to travel with the team. Holland's agent, Joel Resnick, confirmed that the Leafs would try to trade the center, who has only been in eight games. He has one assist.
