Polak was forced from Sunday's game against Columbus with an apparent leg injury, according to the game broadcast on Sportsnet Ontario.
He'd picked up an assist prior to his departure. Polak, who is one of the team's toughest players, headed to the dressing room following the injury. He tried to return, but couldn't continue. Polak's loss heading into the postseason would be a loss to the Leafs, who don't have many other heavyweight defenders.
