Talbot will start in goal versus the Ducks on Wednesday night, as the only lineup change from the last game will be Anton Slepyshev replacing Matt Hendricks on the fourth line, Jack Michaels of Oilers Radio Network reports.

This is an extremely important game for both the Oilers and Ducks, as they are currently tied for second place in the Pacific Division with 87 points and remain within reach of the Sharks (91) for the divisional lead. Talbot's been speculator of late, fashioning wins in his last four to complement a 1.25 GAA and .961 save percentage. This is his first start against the Ducks this season; he's been quite unlucky in eight career games against them, posting a 3-4-1 record in spite of rock-solid peripherals (2.00 GAA, .935 save mark).
