Petrovic will be eligible to return for a Nov. 26 home tilt against the Blue Jackets. His contributions in the defensive zone -- plus-8 rating, 31 hits and 16 blocked shots in 16 games -- are quite impressive, so the Panthers can only hope that players like newcomer Dylan McIlrath and Mike Matheson plug the hole caused by Petro's absence and limit mistakes on the third pair.
