Pirri (ankle) has been placed on injured reserve, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
Pirri has already been ruled out multiple weeks due to an ankle injury suffered in Saturday's game against the Predators, so this move was just procedural in nature. Greg McKegg continues to draw into the lineup in Pirri's absence, but it's definitely a downgrade from a player who's tallied 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) through 52 games this season. The team should continue to update the 24-year-old forward's status as he closes in on a return.
