Panthers' Gilroy Signs With KHL Club

Gilroy has signed with Atlant Moscow Oblast of the KHL, Mike McMahon of CollegeHockeyNews.com reports.A former Hobey Baker winner with Boston University in 2009, Gilroy has seen his career wash out at the NHL level, as he notched just 16 appearances with the Panthers last season, his fifth as a professional. With interest from NHL clubs in the 29-year-old likely to be tepid during free agency, Gilroy decided to take his game to Russia.
