Hagelin skated 13:15 in his Penguins debut Sunday, finishing with four shots on goal, two penalty minutes and a plus-1 rating in a win over Carolina.
He spent time skating with Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel, but the Penguins didn't deploy Hagelin on the power play, where his linemates are heavily featured. Although there's better talent surrounding the lightning-fast winger now, meaning he should see an uptick in production, it doesn't look like the Penguins have Hags ticketed for a big role to start out.
