Penguins' Justin Schultz: Will not play Friday

Schultz (upper body) will sit out for the second consecutive contest Friday, when the Penguins face the Senators for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals, Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The Penguins reportedly will be without forwards Bryan Rust (upper body) and Patric Hornqvist (upper body) as well. This really weakens a power-play unit that has managed to rank sixth through 15 playoff games, and being without a mobile puck mover like Schultz hurts Pittsburgh's chances of dominating possession. However, the silver lining is that the Pens have Trevor Daley back from a lower-body injury, and he'll try to shore up the defensive corps with Schultz out for another pivotal road match.
