Porter skated immediately to the dressing room after suffering an apparent leg injury in the first period of Thursday's game against the Rangers, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Porter took a nasty spill into the boards after being hit by Viktor Stalberg and was unable to put any weight on his right leg as he came off. Porter did not return to the bench at the start of the second period. He's split time between the NHL and AHL this season, picking up three points in 40 NHL games this season.
