Bass was placed on injured reserve Saturday with an upper-body injury.
It's unclear exactly when the 29-year-old center sustained the ailment but his departure isn't likely to have a significant impact on the Predators as he was averaging only 6:57 minutes of ice time over two games this season. The Ontario native will have to miss Nashville's next four games before he's eligible to return Oct. 29.
