Predators' Pekka Rinne: Likely to start Tuesday

Rinne is expected to start in goal on the road Tuesday night against the Avalanche, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.

Predators coach Peter Laviolette generally likes to keep his designated goalie starter under wraps, but Rinne is likely to give it a go in the upcoming contest, as he's the clear-cut No. 1 option and is well rested. He last played Friday, when he claimed his third straight victory and ninth in 17 games on the season. Assuming he does draw the start, Rinne will square off against an Avalanche team ranked 27th at 2.20 goals per contest.
