Aberg is able to be selected by the Golden Knights in the expansion draft, The New York Times reports.

The Predators decided to expose their second-round (37th overall) selection from the 2012 draft in Aberg. He'll be 24 years old by the start of next season -- this likely puts him at a post-prospect stage -- but the Swedish winger did show flashes of his offensive skill during the playoffs, when he recorded two goals and three assists over 16 games. A recent report on Aberg indicated that he's likely to compete for a full-time roster spot with the Predators next season, and that could still happen despite his exposure to Vegas since the new club may end up stockpiling veteran players.
