Ellis' late scratch from Thursday's game against the Kings was the result of an aggravation to his lower-body injury.
Unfortunately, Ellis sustained the injury in warmups, leaving fantasy owners scrambling for alternatives ahead of the last daily slate. Certainly the Predators could have used the two-way tantalizer, as the team dropped the road match, 3-2. Ellis will assuredly be reexamined, and it's likely that the team takes all the necessary precautions with the valuable defender given that he's apparently sustained a setback.
