Raanta will defend the cage against the Devils on Tuesday, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.

Raanta will make his fifth consecutive start due to the injury to No. 1 netminder Henrik Lundqvist (lower body). In those appearances, the Finn went 2-2-1 with a 2.59 GAA -- not exactly the stellar numbers the Rangers were hoping for following a 13-5-0 start to the season that included a .925 save percentage. The 27-year-old has already played in two straight back-to-backs, which could have coach Alain Vigneault considering Magnus Hellberg for Wednesday's clash with the Islanders.
