Raanta will start in goal for Monday's tilt against the Sharks, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Raanta was expected to receive a look in the blue paint at some point this week, and it appears as though his first start will come in a tough matchup against a 2-0-0 Sharks team that's defending last season's Western Conference title. The matchup may not be as tough as it looks on paper because San Jose has scored only five total goals so far, but the Rangers are also banged up on the blue line.
