Megna has been sent down to AHL Hartford.
Megna heads down to the minors having appeared in six games with the Blueshirts this season. An undrafted forward, Megna tallied two points in his season debut Jan. 5 but went without a point in the rest of the contests. Megna has dialed in 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) in 38 games with the Wolf Pack this campaign and even nabbed 26 goals with Penguins' minor-league affiliate Wilkes-Barre the season before, so there is some offensive upside with Megna. His assignment to the minors should allow him to work on his game and prepare for a more significant role down the road.
