Vesey scored the first goal of his career in Monday night's 7-4 win over San Jose.

Just 21 seconds after Kevin Hayes gave the Rangers a 4-2 lead, Vesey stretched it to 5-2 by getting to a high-quality spot in front of the net and firing home a pass from Derek Stepan. He could have had two in this one, as Rich Nash set him up with a gorgeous backhand pass earlier in the game, but Martin Jones made a great save. After two scoreless games and just one shot, this was Vesey's finest night yet in the NHL, but the best is still to come.
