Red Wings' Jimmy Howard: Will start Wednesday

Howard will make his first start of the season against the Rangers on Wednesday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Howard has clearly been relegated to the back up role in Detroit after manning the door for the first three games of the year. The veteran is likely to be the subject of trade rumors right up until the deadline, but unless he is dealt, Howard could see a drop in game played from his 2015 total of 37.
