Ericsson continues to be stagnant in the offensive zone, as four assists represent his only points in 23 games this season.

Nobody was going to mistake Ericsson for Mike Green, who is Detroit's most prolific offensive producer from the blue line, yet fantasy owners should let go of any hope that the Swede will step up in the attacking zone with Brendan Smith (knee) and Alexey Marchenko (upper body) injured. Ericsson's locked into a defense-first mindset, having collected 39 PIM, 32 hits and 17 blocked shots. Unless you're a die-hard fan of the Winged Wheel and have enough roster space for a one-dimensional player, Ericsson's not going to be worth retaining.
