Abdelkader will have his knee scoped as the result of a lingering ailment, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Now that Detroit's season is over, there's seemingly no trepidation from the team when it comes to revealing specifics of player injuries. Like most of his mates, Abdelkader had a down year, though he was among the most disappointing thanks to a 21-point decline from the 2015-16 campaign, in which he recorded 19 goals and 23 assists.
