Red Wings' Niklas Kronwall: Tallies helper on man advantage

Kronwall registered a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-1 home win over the Avalanche.

The secondary helper counted as his second point in nine March games, but a bum knee and 12-plus years of hockey have really taken a toll on the 36-year-old defenseman. He was a plus player for the first half of his career but isn't nearly as mobile these days, leading to a minus-30 rating since the start of the 2015-16 campaign. This is pure speculation, but it wouldn't surprise us to see him get shut down soon now that the Red Wings are out of playoff contention.
