Red Wings' Tomas Tatar: Going under knife to repair shoulder

Tatar will undergo shoulder surgery with the expectation that he'll be ready for training camp this fall, Ted Kulfan of The Detroit News reports.

Tatar only missed one game during the regular season, and it wasn't obvious that his shoulder was bothering him near the end of the campaign; he generated two goals, two assists and a plus-2 rating in the final five games, a pleasant contrast to numerous cold spells earlier in the year. This ailment isn't likely to have much of an impact on Tatar's fantasy stock heading into the 2017-18 campaign.
