Nilsson entered Tuesday's contest in the first period, stopping 26 of 29 shots en route to a 5-4 victory over the Senators.

Robin Lehner (undisclosed) had to leave the contest, allowing Nilsson to step in after his team had already notched three tallies. The 26-year-old had only appeared in six contests before Tuesday, earning a 1.96 GAA and .945 save percentage. He should be a credible option in net if Lehner is forced to miss any time.
