Larsson recently had the pins in his wrist taken out and says he's "weeks out" from a full recovery, The Buffalo News reports.

Larsson missed all of the 2017 calendar year, suffering his season-ending injury on Dec. 31 against the Bruins. Larsson was just getting into a groove during the time of his injury, forming a dependable third line with Marcus Foligno and Brian Gionta. He enters the summer as a restricted free agent, and given Buffalo's lack of depth down the middle, there's a chance he'll get re-signed to a short-term deal. He finished the season with 11 points in 36 games, and has shown enough offense in the AHL to be a potential top-nine forward in the NHL.
