Senators' Erik Karlsson: Starts year with points in three straight

Karlsson picked up a shorthanded assist and two hits during Monday's 5-1 loss to the Red Wings.

Surprisingly enough, it was Karlsson's first special-teams point of the year. The 26-year-old continues to prove that even through his team's struggles, he can find a way to reach the box score. The 2008 No. 15 pick has registered a goal and four assists through three games, and he'll surely continue to pile up the points as the season rolls along.
