Claesson scored a third-period goal to send the game to overtime during Monday's shootout loss to Detroit.

The rookie defenseman has logged more than 21 minutes in consecutive games because of the rash of injuries to Ottawa's defense corps. However, Claesson shouldn't be confused with a reliable fantasy asset. His role isn't secure, and he isn't receiving power-play time. While there's a chance he continues to log big minutes through the end of the regular season, he's still best viewed as a flier in all virtual settings.
