Senators' Mike Hoffman: Scores fourth goal in two games

Hoffman scored a power-play goal on seven shots and added two PIM during Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to Philadelphia.

With 12 shots over two games, Hoffman's extremely aggressive mindset has led to four goals -- two during the man advantage. The 27-year-old has not only settled in, he's taking over as the most lethal forward on the Senators. Coach Guy Boucher is letting the winger rip it toward net, as he sits at 74 shots on goal in just 22 contests. If you're looking for more to get excited about, Hoffman is averaging 2:50 of ice time during the power play, producing eight points -- four goals and four helpers -- to help further his case as an emerging star.
