Sharks' Brent Burns: Grabs three points in failed comeback attempt

Burns scored two goals on seven shots and added an assist -- but went minus-2 -- in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Rangers.

Burns was on the ice for a number of Rangers tallies, but he sparked a comeback attempt by the Sharks in the third period, notching all of his points in that frame. He nearly had a hat trick, but Joe Pavelski got his stick on a Burns shot and deflected it in, so the star defenseman settled for a three-point night. The comeback fell short, but after exploding for 27 goals and 75 points from the blue line last year, Burns looks determined to replicate those stats this season.
