Sharks' Martin Jones: Only needed for 18 saves in OT win
Jones stopped 18 of 19 shots and was the beneficiary of an early-overtime goal in Tuesday's 2-1 win against Arizona.
Jones had posted inconsistent results recently, so it's nice to see him get some help from his teammates -- this was his first time (other than a game he got pulled from) facing under 20 shots this year. Meanwhile, his skaters unleashed 42 against Mike Smith on the other end. With stats awfully reminiscent of last year's, Jones has rapidly established himself as a known commodity -- a solid goaltender on a good team who doesn't post spectacular ratios.
