Jones made 24 stops in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Wild.

Jones was beaten by three different goal scorers in the first two periods before taking part in a snoozefest of a final frame that saw neither team fire more than five shots on goal. It looked like he was going to get plenty of rest in favor of rookie backup Aaron Dell down the stretch, but the sliding Sharks may have to give their starter more work than anticipated with three other teams in the Pacific having pulled within five points in the standings. That's almost certainly good news for Jones' owners considering he had held each of his previous eight opponents to two or fewer goals.
