Simpson Filling In For Raanta At Rockford

Simpson made 41 saves in Rockford's 4-3 win over the Texas Stars on Saturday in the AHL, the Icehogs website reports.Simpson has replaced Rockford starting goalie Antti Raanta who left the team's opener with a lower-body injury. The 21-year-old has been busy in the team's first two games with 90 saves. Raanta is considered day-to-day with Rockford's next game on Friday.
