Purcell skated on Tuesday, Tom Gazzola of Oilers TV reports.It remains to be seen if Purcell will be able to suit up for either of the Oilers' final two preseason contests, the first of which is scheduled for Tuesday night against the Coyotes. Either way, Purcell is reportedly a pretty safe bet to secure an Opening Night roster spot with Edmonton, however, it would undoubtedly be beneficial for the veteran winger to get a chance to shake off some rust in at least one of the team's final two exhibitions.
