Hamhuis will be scratched in Monday's contest against the Blues, reports Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.

While Hamhuis is mired in a slump, on many teams he might not be seeing a healthy scratch right now. But this is the trouble with the Stars' carrying eight defensemen and committing to giving everyone ice time. Any player on a slump can easily get scratched. While top players shouldn't find themselves in that situation, it's something to consider when rostering Dallas defenders in season-long formats. There isn't a defenseman on the team that has played every game this season (though injuries and a missed meeting for John Klingberg share blame there).
