Nyberg inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Stars on Thursday.

Nyberg began his NHL journey by being selected by Dallas in the sixth round (165th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft. Since then, the 20-year-old Swede has been making a name for himself with Frolunda HC of the SHL, where he posted seven goals, eight assists and a plus-8 rating in 49 games for the club last season, all of which were career highs. Nyberg is known for his quality, hard-nosed play on both ends of the ice, so he could be a good fit for a Stars team that needs help on the blue line.
