Stars' Kari Lehtonen: Shines in Tuesday start

Lehtonen was outstanding Tuesday night, picking up 27 saves en route to a 2-1 win over the Predators.

The Stars are operating with a nice blend of veterans and talented rookies on the blue line -- guys like Dan Hamhuis and Johnny Oduya are mentoring the likes of Esa Lindell and Stephen Johns, for example. What this means for Lehtonen is that he needs to be on top of his game in case the rookies experience lapses in judgment, but the young guns held their own, at least in Tuesday's contest. Even though Lehtonen is seemingly locked in an even timeshare with Antti Niemi, the goalies are typically attractive daily plays given that they're backed by a high-powered offense.
