Janmark (knee) skated following practice Monday but is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the 2016-17 campaign, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

After undergoing knee surgery in September, there was a belief that Janmark would be able to return this season, but it appears that the team will now focus on making sure the 24-year-old is ready for next year. After tallying 29 points during his rookie campaign, fans and fantasy owners alike were eager to see how the center would develop his game. Janmark might be worth stashing away in deeper dynasty leagues for those willing to take a risk based on his lone NHL season.
