Eriksson-Ek's work visa has been approved and he could play Tuesday for AHL Iowa, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Eriksson-Ek began the season in the AHL because he needed paperwork related to his visa approved before he could join the NHL roster. However, he may need to play a game or two in the AHL before he's called up since he hasn't even practiced in a week. The Wild had said he would return to his team in Sweden if he didn't make the NHL roster, so he's not likely to be in the AHL for long.
